Text keyword PMLM to shortcode 88202 to learn more.

Propulsion Media Labs announces that clients can now conduct mobile marketing campaigns using SMS text messages.  SMS stands for Short Message Service, meaning a text message limited to 160 total characters, which is identified by the wireless carriers in the U.S.

Text messages typically involve a consumer responding to a call-to-action and texting a keyword to a shortcode.  A shortcode is a wireless carrier-approved 5-6 digit number that allows the text message to pass through any carrier network to the consumer recipient.  The keyword simply identities the client or promotion (example below).  The consumer can receive a text response that may include a product discount or offer, a link to a mobile website, interaction in a trivia contest, or to sign up and receive future text alerts that are important to their lifestyle.

"It's a growing marketing vehicle we can offer our clients to interact and target directly with a consumer right on their mobile phone, right in their pocket," said PML general manager, Corey Dissin.  PML will have mobile marketing consultant Brad Bierman (pictured, right) work with its clients explaining exactly how it works, the cost-effective benefits, developing campaigns on PML's text platform, and providing clients with important results and data from their campaigns to help in future mobile marketing activity.
